I'd love to see what 170 is like this year, but as Velo Vol is wont to point out, autumn is coming, so I'm going to aim for a 80kg (176 and change). Well, actually I'm not aiming at anything - I've stopped the strict tracking of calories since I've been averaging 4,000 cal burned per day for the last couple months, but maybe I should start back up just to be sure...

The pressure from climbing interferes with the circulation in my feet. I like Merino wool socks with neoprene toe covers but even then sometimes it's a problem. If your feet are freezing you aren't having any fun. I also have some Gore-Tex socks but they don't breathe and I sweat so much in them I only use them in extreme conditions or just carry them until there is a long descent. I had them on one time when my friend and I walked for 2 hours in deep snow trying to find a way out of a canyon we went into.

Today was one of those rides where I set out feelin' mildly ****ty but certain that I'd shake it and feel better after a good warm-up. 66 miles evidently wasn't good enough of a warm-up

I skipped my ride today to do leg day, 170 lb deadlifts, 180 lb squats, walking lunges carrying 100 lbs and then a brutal core circuit that made me want to puke. I have a feeling my ride tomorrow morning is going to suck

I am at a paltry 9419 since July 2012, split between MapMyRide and Strava.
Could prolly add a couple hundred of unrecorded mileage to that, but I know you people wouldn't let that stand.
