Source for DA 7402 rear hub cones

Tried to find some but came up short. Other than paying for a used hub, is there any other sources, like other hubs (right!)?

Thanks for posting this inquiry re DA hub bearing cups. I'm looking for a set of front hub cups myself having robbed a set from a good hub to replace a pitted set of cones in a built-up wheel. I am hopeful someone will chime in with a source.

FWIW, I built pullers to remove cones from front and rear Campy Records hubs a while back. I was happy to find the same tooling works for the DA 74XX hubs.

Replacement cups for Campy hubs were available for Record/SR also Nuovo Tipo/Gran Sport. I've never seen any replacement cups for Shimano hubs. I have a source for 1st generation DA front cones.

You might try Wheels Mfg for the rear cones. They offer a lot of different ones for Japanese and Asian hubs:

@verktyg - unfortunately they are N/A on that site.
Funny how the old stuff disappears and the newer stuff is listed. If it is newer, it is less likely to be needed.

Tried Loose Screw? They still have some early DA parts, last time I looked they had a complete rear axle set with cones. Earlier than 7400, but worth seeing it they would fit. Tricolor from the same period might work, too. I have some later 9 speed stuff (not DA) at home, can check to see if they would fit when I get back on Monday.

As some of you know. DA is always unique, almost by year or model. Doubt there are any cross uses of parts. Just to give you an idea, there are three different 8V cassettes!

Husky doesn't have them. Who knew that nearly every hub has a unique cone!

As (at least) early Campagnolo Record hub cones and cups are known to be through hardened, refacing them has always been an option. Many discussions have taken place on this forum regarding resurfacing the cones and cups of other manufacturers. To my knowledge, no one has ever definitively answered the question as to whether DA cups and cones are through, or case hardened.

This here's an opportunity for you to experiment! Ain't science grand?

@machinist42 - Science is great and I have used it a lot in my career. The cones are a little too pitted to try resurfacing, besides, I don't have the equipment to support a good effort. Thanks!

Gives me an excuse to convert all the way to Campagnolo hub, which is on hand but is missing the cassette and spokes.

My thoughts are to convert to sew-ups as well as moving form DA to Record/Chorus.
