There was a Windsor that showed up at the previous bicycle coop here in town... I asked about it, but, it had already been spoken for. I don't remember whether it was a "Profesional" or not, but I seem to recall the Masi like lugs (with the circular window cutouts). Though it showed some age, and a semi-tough life as part of that age, it still was sexy to me. I found out later that the guy that ran the coop had set it back for his friend, who had been looking for something vintage, nice, and with a story. I got to talk to the new owner, and he seemed very stoked to have it under his legs, even though he was still dialing it in (at the time). Another brand/model I wish I could somehow take for a spin, just to say that I'd rode and experience it. Thanks for the post SpeedofLite.

Bummer. As Agent 86 might say while holding thumb and index finger about a centimeter apart, you "missed it by that much".

I remember those well, along with stories about Mexican cycling great, Agustin Alcantara (1946-1979 -- gone too soon), who sometimes rode Windsors.

Yeah, I was sorta hoping someone would pipe in with a history of their racing exploits on a Windsor... out distancing the competition of much more lofty rides. Anyone? Anyone?

I had to check; my wife has had hers for several years now, I didn't ever look closely enough to notice circular cutouts in the lugs. Yup, they are there, so I might presume it's not a faux Windsor (???) Cannot comment on what it's like to ride, it's 5" too small for me, so I've ridden it maybe 100 feet.

So what was "Columbus 510" tubing? Never heard of that but the Pro used a (remind me if this is correct) a 27.2 seatpost? Definitely did NOT have the sleeve added to seat tube as a true Cinelli with that seatcluster would...maybe "510" was a Columbus co-branding with Datsun? 
Also interesting to note that by '75 they used that style of chromed forkcrown, not a Cinelli style full-slope

I was also really surprised at how upbeat the reporter assessed the bicycle. Back in 1975, in my community, I think most people who have been leery of a Mexican made bicycle. I don't think they would be justified, I just think that's how we thought back then...
