New (to me) recumbent purchase transport across town problem
I am picking up a Sun EZ AX recumbent tomorrow, but the owner does not have a truck, and all I have is my car with rear seats that fold down. Is it possible, for the sake of just getting across town (8 miles or so) home to get a LWB two wheel recumbent into a car that way? They are elderly, and I have no friends that have a truck or SUV. I only need to get it home. Thoughts? Can I loosen and angle the handlbars in some way, maybe, if I need to?

Assuming that you've inspected it and it's ok to ride, how about public transport or a cab there and pedal it home?

I got it home. All good. Dropped the handlebars and it slid into my trunk.

Good! I think it's rather hard to ride a recumbent right off the mark if you haven't ridden one before. The balance is different, as are the muscle groups you use. It took me a while to get accustomed to my bikeE when I first got it last year. Like a couple of hours before I could ride it any distance.

You can rent a truck from Home Depot. I think the rate is $20/hr

How is riding the bent going? I used to have one of those my self. Do you have the EZ-1 or EZ-Sport AX? Remember to put on sunblock, otherwise the front of your legs and arms will get fried.
