Recipes Wanted....Morning Healthful Shake.

Been some talk here about protein shakes, etc. My breakfast is often made up of some raisins or currants and peanuts....washed down with a milk, protein powder, fruit, dollop of peanut butter, maybe some ground flax seed, whatever shake in the blender. [On special days, I might even drop in a gob of Nutella.]

Anybody want to share their liquid meal, snack recipes?? I'm sure you guys have some that are more interesting than mine.

Oh baby, do I! Three parts vermouth, a shot of irish whisky, three dollops of Cravossier, a twist of lemon and a hershey bar...something to fill your stomache up. Put it all in a blender, and spark a cuban cigar while it all gets mixed.

Don't ruin it with the lemon.

The Acai for the high anti oxidant. The banana for the potassium. The oranges for the vitamin c. The ground fresh organic flaxseed from North Dakota for Omega 3, fiber, and carbs. The thing missing is the protien. That I had for dinner last night, fish.

Sorry, can't help. Oatmeal, raisins and a banana is my usual breakfast. I guess I could put them in a blender if you need.

Actually my oatmeal is less liquid than most peoples though. I get a cup of oatmeal, a cup of water and a hand full of raisins. I set the water to boiling in a saucepan, put the raisins in a strainer in a single layer, then add the oatmeal in the strainer. I dip the strainer in water till all the oatmeal gets wet, drain it and set the strainer in the saucepan with water to steam till the water boils off. Then I have hot, light, flakey but moist oatmeal.

No, no , no, no , NO. Take one unfiltered (preferably Bavarian) Hefeweissen, turn upside down. Gently shake to get all of that good yeast back into suspension. Open, pour SLOWLY into glass and enjoy with a freshly baked pretzel and a weisswurst. That's the way they do it in Munich and based on two years experience it is quite delicious. Not sure I would go for a ride too soon afterwwards though.

I doubt any of them ever came to Wyoming, so, hard for me tell them. I was in Vegas once in the early 70's guess I could have caught them there. But hey, aren't they dead? Plus none of them were Germans either so maybe they, like others, would not understand. Prost!
