I forgot about this thread.... Tysons Corner Circuit Race last sunday. I'm in the red, in the dying throes of a 2-man break. It was fun while it lasted...

Jef Cup 07:

This is the break up the road with team mate (and eventual winner)

Next four pics are our guys blocking and following the chasers. I am the guy with the glasses who lets a guy get around and then drafts him...(but my team mate is not sure if I am going to hang!)

This is me in a 4 man breakaway at FSU, got 4th of the four of them and we finished 15 min ahead of the main group and passed the A race. (I had a 102 degree fever the night before, hence no win)

Riding with a 102 degree fever isn't too bright, dude. That's about as bright as me attempting a century with a resting heartrate of 104+ bpm, which I later found out was the onset of a bad case of mono.

Galen, you and your boys are looking strong this year. Strong showings in the 1/2/3 races so far...

You don't have to tell me that. The title of the thread includes "suffer," and that's exactly what I did through the race and the whole day afterward. I cramped up on the ride home, even after downing both bottles during the race and a gallon of water afterward.

It was a learning experience

Yes, the elite team and the pro team and the old guys are doing well. The pro team is doing the US Pro Open this weekend, so they will get on TV if it is broadcast locally....

do you take time to put your i-Pod on in the transition or do you race with it start to finish?

I did wear it for running on both runs, the 5 seconds it takes for me to put it back on is not going to make a life changing difference in my racing time, trust me
