Ghost bike in Racho Cucamonga / Foothill Blvd between Archibald and Vineyard
So I was driving back from picking up my daughter from school when I noticed about 10 people sitting down on the side of the sidewalk
in a grassy area. Caught my attention becuase it just looked kind of odd, and I noticed they were gathered around a newly placed ghost bike.
Must have been the family of someone killed at the location. Has anyone heard of this incident ? It really hit home, especially so close to my house. I keep seeing that family in my mind and thinking about my family. Be safe out there! and prayers to the family of the rider who lost his life on Foothill.

We really need to change the hit and run laws in CA. Hit and Run should be at least as serious as DUI, maybe more.

People who flee an accident are evil. They often leave a pedestrian or cyclist who they've injured (fatally in many cases) to their own devices. They're hiding something and should be assumed to be at fault and penalties should be very, very serious. Even if you're running from lack of auto insurance, no driver license, DWI, outstanding warrants, etc, etc, you have to be a bad person to leave someone you may have killed with your car.
My condolences to the cyclist's family.

I think that happened about a year ago, it might be the anniversary. My daughters boyfriend has the exact same name.
