Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Software Release Manager / Quality Assurance Manager / Technical Operations Manager

My helmet is just one of the many hats I wear. The software company I work for produces a software service for the major oil companies. We reap their data and then resell it. If this sounds at all glamorous to any of you then I've described things incorrectly.

I am a musician.
Mostly studio now.
Taught Martial arts on the side for a long time but injuries forced me to look for safer activities.

Bike mechanic. I think it's only worth the crappy pay if you work in a cool location with great people, or work for yourself. When it's stressful and there is nowhere nearby to do anything besides ride a bike it's just another terrible job. Lots of ****ty hybrids and weird people.

I work in the office of a clothing retailer. The first question out of everyone's mouth when they hear where I work is "Ooh, designer?" but my job mostly involves Excel and absolutely zero design (which is fine by me). I can pivot your data like a mofo.

HA! Yeah, I wouldn't mind so much working at the current shop if the boss man (and his mother) weren't so weird. The shop itself is kinda cool and the other employees are good company.

Structural Engineer (licensed) - Large scale / mixed use projects mostly. Get to ride 9 miles to and from work everyday so that is a big perk.

Sweet. I don't know anything about that and find it interesting. Could you explain?

Feel free to pm me if you have any work-related questions. I started a small (<50k/year), but budding analytical services portion of the company, where we offer QC to outside companies.

Lol, I think I already post in C&V and the Road forums on this. But I'm a project manager in electrical engineering.

Tried to look as smug as possible.

Bike mechanic, not much pay but great deals on purchasing. I am proud of what I do. Get to ride through the front door and park my bike indoors without any second thoughts.

I work in a bike/outdoor shop. I also occasionally do freelance graphic design.

I eventually want to open my own shop and maybe build a few custom frames here and there.
