Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I for one certainly made the mistake of assuming they were the same bike. To quote Rick Perry, "oops".

Thanks for the correction.

Looking at the BBQ pic, I still think something is wonky. If he's over six foot tall, why is the saddle so low on a 57cm frame?

Do you find those online or at a local shop?

With the stick between your legs and buried HIGH into you crotch method?

I ask because my pants inseam is 32" but my "Bike" inseam is 35.5 inches. With my crank lined up with the seat tube, the measurement from the top of my saddle to the bottom pedal axle is 37.5 inches.

It was between my legs and decently up there, not too jammed up though

Here's the ones I get. I misspoke, they are USA made, of Canadian Maple, not Canadian made.

Looks like the chain could use another link and I'm surprised to see the uncut steerer tube on one of Richard's bikes. Other than that it's a beauty!

Maybe replace the stem with a Nitto Technomic quill. Otherwise, enjoy the ride! Thanks for posting.

Picture from the guy I bought it from.. seat is raised a tad higher now, hah. The bike was advertised as an 'Origin 8 pro series'.. Now that I've got it home, I realize that name came from the stem. It has this logo on the head tube and cranks... does anyone recognize it?

Thanks! I'm really glad they survived the accident, back rim was looking a bit iffy but my local shop trued it up nicely and the set has been running smooth as ever since then

I'm having a couple of wheels built up with white SL42 rims, yours look just like them. I have a white bike w/black spokes, these are the tires going on when the time comes

I never really like the mustache bars I had on here, and the front basket sucked. The only thing it carried well was a 12 pack and I don't buy those nearly often enough to bother keeping it. Still need to cut the housing a bit shorter someday
