1985 Guerciotti Pista

Hey, I am curious as to what my bike is actually worth as I have been trying to sell it and what people are offering seem a mite low. But then again, I dont really know which is why I am asking here.

I have a 1985 Guerciotti Pista bike painted by Ten Speed Drive in Florida when they were importing these frames in the 80s. The bike itself is in fairly good condition. There is only one major scratch on it which happened when some idiot picked it up while it was locked to a street pole and scraped the top tube. Other than that its in great shape. The build is below

Campagnolo Headset
Cinelli 1A stem 110mm 26.0
Cinelli Criterium bars wrapped in Fizik tape
Campagnolo 27.0 Seatpost
Selle Regal White Perforated saddle with copper rails
Campagnolo Record Pista Crankset 165mm 50T
Campagnolo Record Pista Bottom Bracket
Gippieme Hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro CD rims with Panaracer Pasela tires mounted

more photos of it with a different build can be seen here
Guerciotti Pista '85 - Pedal Room

Thanks a ton for any help!

I'm start with $700 +/-

The fixed gear/single speed craze died off so it's hard to valuate this style bike. Your bike has big advantage in that it's an all original dedicated track bike. I have feeling my valuation is low but lets see what others think.

+1

I am feeling it this way as well...even though it is a dedicated track bike, it still kind of fits that FG/SS type mold...and that is falling out of favor quickly...but even more particularly on higher end type bikes. I think that, here in my market (ATL), it would be a tough sell at 700...

"More photos can be found here.Guerciotti Pista '85 - Pedal Room
Pictures in link not how bike is being sold."

WTF does that mean?

Your ad basically is confusing with the above tag, the pictures are poor, in particular: the opening photo of a rusty top tube; torn saddle; "styled" photo in Pedalroom in the trashy abandoned space, etc. Are you selling a bike or a project? Having a different price for it in Boston at $900 doesn't help. If you want big money for it, put it on eBay.

If you want big money for it, the bike needs to be immaculate, which it is not.

A few things.
The bike has been laid down, the art shots show a perfect saddle, now it's not. No plausible deniability there.
Smaller frame, smaller potential market.
The situation is that it will sell as a frame and parts for more than it will sell for whole.
These frames sell for a bit of a discount as the name went through some skeptical days when less than stellar product was built and sold.
Those looking for a true track bike won't be excited with the wheels.
