Small, elegant single bike stand

Not fixed specific but looking for something that mirrors the simplicity. Just a single bike stand that site on the floor and keeps bike from tipping over. Basically the smallest thing that is robust enough to actually support the bike without being affixed to anything. Suggestions?

Clug wall mount. Just stick it on the floor instead of the wall

That won't work at all. Think about it.

Leaning it against the wall has never steered me wrong.

Could be smaller, but I made it out of scraps. It's served us well for 3+ years. Does double-duty as a front wheel holder when a bike is mounted in the trainer.

I can see it working if it really clamps onto the wheel. You'd still have to screw it into the floor though.

Hire a 3 year old to stand there and hold it. Motivation can range from positive (candy every hour on the hour) to negative (there are alligators in my back yard, you could hold them instead), but beware of nosy neighbors and/or anybody with general knowledge of child labor laws.

Alternatively, you could look at any of the gazillion bike photos taken with (insert random item here) placed under a pedal to hold it up. If the bike isn't in a high-traffic area you could use anything from a human skull to a coffee can, depending on your aesthetic sense.

There is the one that looks like a rubber coated tuning fork and holds bike by the hub.

Gear up grandstand is cheap and pretty small. Small to me might be big to you though.

I have been meaning to get one of these but keep forgetting to add it to an order.

I've seen them for $16.

I have two "Nashbar stand by me"

https://www.bikenashbar.com/cycling/...me-na-sbm-base

Works well, small footprint, and low cost.

Since it elevates the rear wheel it can also be used for cleaning chains, making gear adjustments, etc.
