Wheels - What have I got and what value..?
Picked up a set of wheels today and I want to know what I have in the road wheels and any estimates of value. Once I have an idea of what and how much, I intend to offer them for sale (or trade) on the For Sale forum. Anyway, the wheels and the hubs are smooth, suggesting decent internals. The tires, in my mind, are old and not to be trusted...

Shimano 600 tricolor hubs. Nice! I could be wrong, but I don't think the Mavic CXP's are anything to write home about.
Considering shipping, you may find it more lucrative to break them down and sell the hubs and Dura Ace cassette separately.
I think your hubs are these: VeloBase.com - Component: Shimano FH-6400 & HB-6400 600EX Ultegra

^ Agree with this except for the fact that they appear to be a nice build with Wheelsmith double-butted spokes and nips. That’s nice stuff and would be a shame to break them down. Probably still worth more as components. I’m not as current on hub pricing these days but I’d peg the 600 hubs at $60 at the auction and $40 on here. Cassette: $30 for 23/25t and $50 for 28t. Less from us chiselers.
I’d sell the cassette, toss the tires and try the wheelset at $90 shipped.

Do you have the matching scewers for the 600 hubs that would add another $25 or so to the value and make for an easier sale for either the hubs or wheels? Still nice wheelset I would leave them together and sell the not matching DA cassette seperate. I think you could get $80-100 for the wheels and $40 for the cassette.

Those are pretty decent rims. I'd sell them as a complete wheelset. I guess I'm one of the chiselers, $80 roughly for the wheelset but it's not clear to me that the cassette adds a lot of value. It's getting hard to find smaller cassettes like this but 7 speed cassettes are not hard to find and pretty cheap if you don't mind going to 28 teeth or so. My guess is that most C&V buyers just don't have a problem running a 12-28 cassette which you can buy for under $20.

My biggest concern is what size are the wheels? Lots of 700c and 27" hoops have come my way, over the years. But this is the first set, I have found that seem smaller. They are not 700c but they are road wheels, apparently and I have little experience with them.
I should add that I might have a bike that they will fit. My Quintanna Roo. Actually, the Roo was mine but I gave it to my son, but it is still in the cave...

I didn't even catch that they are 650c size race tri wheels at first this would will likely add about $40-50 in value to the right buyer.
