Cassettes-Shimano vs. Sram?
I have used Sram cassettes exclusively on all our bikes over the years. I am looking at going to a 12-36 cassette for my touring bike. It appears Sram does not offer a 36t low but I can find it in Shimano'' line up.
Wondering if there is any quality difference between the two? BTW this is a 9 speed.
Thanks!

SRAM and Shimano cassettes are interchangeable for the same cog count. If anything, Shimano cassettes are the equal in quality and, to my experience, better at the same grade level.

Non omnino gravis
I ignore the brand stamped on the lockring when the choice is between Shimano and SRAM. They are equivalent quality and usually about the same weight. I bought a SRAM 1070 to replace the Ultegra cassette on my Cervelo because I liked SRAM's cog spacing better.
I run waxed chains, so all of my drivetrains, regardless of brands, are quiet.
