I skid on the wrong side
So I have been riding fixed for approaching a year now. I can skid, but my issue is that when I kick out to the side it's naturally the wrong side. What I mean by this is I use my right foot mostly as my trailing foot. Once I lock the back wheel the bike usually drifts to my right side. Sometimes it will go neutral, then shift over to the left. From all the videos I have seen, it appears the bike is supposed to go left if my trailing foot is my right. But, naturally it is going the wrong way. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this problem, and may have a solution. Thanks for any advice that can be given.

What's the problem?
Do you think getting the bike over to the other side would provide better control?
If you want control you shouldn't be skidding in the first place.
As long as it works for you - ride more, fret less.

Which way the rear wheel kicks out is a function of how you shift your weight, and/or how you steer. Generally, if you act as if you're turning left (weight or bars) the wheel will slide right.
Getting all the elements right so the bike does exactly what you want as you skid it to a stop is a matter of practice. Once it's dialed in it'll be automatic and reliable.
BTW- if you're having trouble using weight shift, practice using steering first because it's much easier to learn. Note, only small corrections are used, or you risk the bike shooting out and dumping you on the pavement. It's natural to learn to skid towards the back foot, because that's the one you need to use to stop, leaving the front foot to plant when it's time.

Actually, don't wear white shoes skidding, your self-analysis is a new revelation to me as I was not aware being a non-skidder.

Move to Britain and you will skid on the right side.
I can't believe it took nine months and nobody else offered that.
