Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If you only run one brake, don't make it the rear.

The front brake has the vast majority of the stopping power on a bike, and when used correctly, it won't send you over the bars.

Started painting. Didn’t manage to go to my friends house cuz stuff, but painted it just outside on the sidewalk

Going with a dark red with ivory stripes, and gonna go with a deep blue for the grip tape on the handlebars. Also, gonna paint the rim of that wheel ivory too. Wanted more of a cream color but hardware store only had satin finish for it, not gloss so, rip

Not knowledgeable enough, maybe someone can give more info...gold lines at the lug edges may be from the assembly/brazing process. The lugs don't get painted gold completely... just along their edges.

Dunno if the "fade" in your paint job was intended, but I like it.

Oh I see! ya I prolly won't do that, but it wud b dope. N also, I did just that part of the top tube white bc I did stripes. Painted it white, masked 3 stripes, then painted the whole thing red. Gon go see if the wind has died down to see if I can paint it again today!

It's just paint. It's hard to do neatly with a brush especially on something like the Nervex Pro, but you can buy gold paint pens, they work great.
