Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am improving. They gave me a tray with “clear liquids” included red jello, apple juice, and an orange popsicle. So far, so good. I will get a more substantial lunch and if that goes ok I can go home later.

I'm never going to regain the lightweight crown at this rate.

Also, dog drugs.

A cold front moved in over night. A mere 82A at the moment. A high of only 90 predicted for the day. Mostly sunny. Little wind. Looks like a good day for a ride, possibly even longer than 24km.

28 miles out and back yesterday to REI to return a pair of shoes. I have no cycling stamina whatsoever.
