Welcome to Bike Forums!
We have a 50+ section here that you may like. Remember, take your time at first until you build up getting used to riding again. Don't push yourself too hard, a little at a time and next thing you know, your endurance will start increasing!

Welcome - not sure how far down the valley you are located, but the Mohawk-Hudson Cycling Club has rides most days of the week. Some of them leave from southern Albany county and Rensselaer/Columbia counties.

Here's the ride calendar: https://www.mohawkhudsoncyclingclub.org/calendar/rides

The 'sport' rides are more casual and the ride descriptions are pretty accurate. The Sunday morning ride out of Voorheesville is a mellow round-trip to Altamont with a stop at the bagel shop in Altamont.

Good Luck!
