Knight Composites non-tubeless rim to tubeless?
Eyeballing an older set of rims from Knight composites that I think pre-date their tubeless compatible ones now offered, given the narrower internal rim width. I know not all non-tubeless rims are compatible with being taped and used tubeless. Not a deal breaker for me, but definitely would be an added bonus if I could successfully set them up tubeless. Anyone converted their Knight 35 disc carbon rims to tubeless?

Have you asked Knight?
Otherwise, the key is the ability to seal the belly side. Both with respect to spoke holes, ie. with tape, and at the valve.
If you don't see a reason why you can't, you can give it a go.
It might help to remember that tubeless predates rims made for it.

In this day and age I see no good reason to try to convert non-tubeless rims to tubeless. I did it with a set of Ksyrium Elites briefly. I experienced two instances of air suddenly burping out in the middle of turns. After that I converted it right back to tubes. The other issue is that when the air runs low- like if you put the bike aside for a couple of weeks- the bead will lose the seal and the tire will go flat. And the sealant could go all over your garage floor.
Just get a proper tubeless wheelset.

Tape the rim, mount a valve, mount a tire, pump it up and see. If it doesn't blow off the rim it might work. Only then add sealant.

ok, I have an ancient set of non-tubeless fat bike rims that my lbs converted to tubeless years ago. They never lose pressure, lol. I just keep studded tires on them, and only use them a few weeks a year. Was just hoping these would be as easy, lol. I've got other tubeless wheelsets, just not carbon/aero. Thanks.
I'll probably just keep looking. I'm seeing quite a few previously owned ones pop up on the market.
