Without pictures, or, at least, a description of your haul, this thread is worthless!

UPS lost my booty! Ordered a wheelset for my new hybrid and UPS can't find them. This will end tragically.

I went riding in the woods on Black Friday. Met race car driver Bill Elliott.
A pickup truck with mountain bike hanging out of the back flew past me as I was finishing my ride. When I got to the parking lot Bill was unloading his mountain bike and struck up a brief conversation as polite southern gentlemen do. We chatted with "Nice day. How was your ride? Hope you enjoy your ride. This sure beats the heck out of the mall." etc.
I didn't acknowledge who he was, just let him be himself and he stormed off into the trails.

wow Awesome Bill from Dawsonville
was standing in line to get his autograph at a local Ford dealership once, and as I handed him a hat to sign, my friend loudly announced to Bill, "he's a Tim Richmond fan"

I went to Harbor Freight and got a multimeter, as well as a gauge and caliper set, and a new and complete set of metric allen wrenches, as well as a socket driver and set of sockets. Some other stuff filled up a plastic grocery bag, and I think after deals and rebates it cost about thirty bucks. I'm re-doing my workshop, so I need some new stuff to go in there.

I've had the same kind of experience with their free shipping to Canada - and then had to pay duty when I picked up the package at Canada Post. DHL I paid a bit for the duty pre-paid, but I don't think it's really more expensive. Based on my small sample size, DHL is way faster to Canada.

Probably with all the individual socks missing from the dryer. Or the UPS guy has a nice new set of wheels.

I spoke with Nashbar CS over the phone this morning and they are sending out a replacement wheelset. It should arrive by end of day Tuesday.
EDIT: Wheelset arrived early Monday afternoon. All is well.

One of my powered speakers on the TV died, and I decided to go with something that would offer better 2.1 and would probably cost about the same amortized over 10 years.
I spent $1200 on subq fluids for 2 kidney cats, $800 on a 2 day vet visit for the 20 year old when she had constipation, $250 a pop when we go for bloodwork checkup (going less often, every 3-4 months) $500 on various medications (prednisone, amlopidine, glucosamine chews, probiotics, buprenorphine), so I figure I can spend a bit on me. I rarely buy stuff for me. Thinking about getting one of those $90 Bikehand work stands :-)
It's why I keep my high paying tech job and 2+ hour commute. Leaving the house at 8:30 am and getting home at 8:30 pm sucks. But at least I get 28 miles a day in for the commute by bike :-)
PS. Old animals can have high medical costs.
