I'm Bringing Dorky Back!... Now with Pics
Hey guys...
It's been a while since I last posted a build - It's actually been almost 10 years!
But, I'm back! - And I'm bringing dorky with me!!!
I hope to get some finished photos this weekend!

Welcome back! Noting wrong with a little dorkiness, especially if it potentially saves something from serious damage
I put the dork disc on here partly as a goof and partly as a safety precaution against those fabulous Crow's foot laced wheels getting damaged.

Sweet ol' Honda there! 👌 My sister had the 150cc version, when we were kids, but she hardly ever rode it. I was more into dirt bikes, but rode hers once in awhile, just to keep it healthy. 😉

Many here don't remember, but the OP built a bike for a junkyard build contest here that was simply superb. He's an artiste with a capital W.
Very glad to see him here again. Somewhere in the art/craft time/space continuum, someone just looked up and asked "hey, where'd he go?"

I wish I had my Honda CB 175 that I sold many years ago. I am not a "biker", but I loved that little motorcycle. I commuted on it on rural highways and city streets. When it was stinking hot in the summer, I would ride it down woods roads in the shade of trees.
My wife never liked the idea of a motorcycle, so to preserve our relationship I sold it long ago.

The Dream surely looked like a dream. Simply a gorgeous bike, and timeless style. Honda nailed it with that model and has not made one quite a beautiful as the Dream since.

How do I know?
Coming back from a ride to the beach nearing home, the lucky break, I noticed if I dropped revs things got a little iffy in the combustion department, as in missing.
Limping the last miles, I made it home. The next morning checked fuel, OK, then battery and learned, the new battery was almost dead. This bike was made to run its lights at night, not all the time.
Sigh, "wish I'd kept it"...repeat this phrase a couple dozen times and you arrive at wisdom.

I rode my '68 CB450 from WI to Annapolis, MD non-stop. A big twin, at the time. I swore I'd never do it again. A few years later, I rode a GPz 550 WI to Camp LeJeuene, NC non-stop. That pretty much cured me. Not of being stupid, but of doing that particular thing.
I loved that CB450 more than the GPz. It was not a better bike, but it was bad-ass. If Honda had the same styling today, and a nice mild commuter bike, yep, I'd get one.

The 250 is actually a more desirable bike for collectors.
I believe the CA95's were the 150's also known as the Benley.

I ran into a bit of a hiccup with my project...
Although the Koba kickstand is a very solid piece, the support brace is made of flimsy steel that easily bends. Needless to say, the brace is pretty useless as a structural piece.
And as Golden Boy has pointed out, these stands were made for a different style of bike which I imagine have much thicker chain stays.
I had to wrap my rear stay with a piece of rubber to get the stand to tighten down but the set-up at the moment leaves me with little confidence.
Sooooo......
I decided to ditch the flimsy brace and fab up a new one.
I do not recall why I even had a worn out TA Specialites chainring hanging on my pegboard but I always knew I'd have a use for it someday.
