Brake Replacement for Old MTB

So I recently bought a pair of mini v brakes for the front. While trying to install them I realized that the bosses have the spring holes towards the outside rather than the inside. The bosses are also built into the fork so I can't replace them. Is there a way to mount on the mini-v's? If not, are there any brakes out there that do not use the spring holes or need them on the outside?

PS: The bike is an old Univega Alpina Pro that uses shimano xt cantilevers. Not sure of the brake model but it should be a BR-M730. I don't have any pics but this is the exact bike/frame
