Suggestions for a small saddle bag?
I know there are a gazillion different bags out there. But wonder if there is a favorite small bag for carrying basic stuff like tire inflator, a couple of tubes etc. I always carry my cell phone, power bars etc in my rear jersey pockets but want to start carrying supplies in the event of a flat tire.
Anybody have a small saddle bag than tucks neatly under the saddle used mostly for carrying an extra tube, tire levers, inflator etc?
Many thanks.
PS: I ride Specialized saddles if it matters for rear rail attachment.

Pearl Izumi Tailgate saddle bag, or another similar "seat wedge"
Tucks under the seat fairly unobtrusively, and will hold spare tube, C02, mini pump, tire irons, tire boot, mini tool, with no problem.

Thanks guys...
For others interested, I found a link with a number of different small seat wedge options:

I appreciate the suggestions.

I LOVE this bag from nashbar: https://www.nashbar.com/reviews/nashb...Bag-Small.html
After some searching, I've found what I believe is the perfect bag. I have one on each of my bikes (2). It fits 2 tubes and everything else that goes with them. No problems.
The posts above mine are from dudes that are still searching, and they'll eventually end up with this bag too.

I'd stay away from the Fizik bags, even if you have a Fizik seat. They have a reputation for coming loose.
Personally, I favor a longer, narrower design, so you can get a micro pump inside it.

Also, on any of the bags that have a velcro wrap around the seatpost, you may want to cut that off.
The velcro can have a habit of eating shorts, and the strap arond the seatrails is all you need to hold the bag in place.

I have the small Fizik bag with the ICS. It holds a CO2 inflator and cartridge, one tube, spoke wrench, a couple of small allen wrenches, a spare house key, and a paper towel. It's crammed in there, but I rarely need anything except the allen wrenches.
The medium Fizik bag has more room. Will easily hold two tubes.
What's nice (for Fizik users) is you use the same saddle bag for different bikes. Just clip and go.

Lezyne bags have a velcro around the seat rails & seat post. Have not come loose or come in contact with shorts/bibs in several thousand miles of riding. They come in many sizes, I believe I have one of the smaller ones.

I went down to the LBS (with my mini pump in hand - to try on for size) and bought the smallest saddle bag that it would fit in.

Descends like a rock
This is one of those topics where you'll get 100 posts with 100 different options. All of them are probably good.
This one is my favorite so far. I have the 'fixer' on all my bikes and can easily move it from bike to bike. The only thing that doesnt fit is my tire lever - I have that vecrod to the underside of my saddle.

I have an REI brand Novara saddle bag. I like it a lot. However, this year, for some reason they decided to change the color from flat black to khaki green. No idea why.

I have, I think, a Lezyne M Caddy. It's pretty bloody small, but fits, just right, a spare tube, pair of levers, CO2 cartridge and chuck, and a small multitool. The little reflective strip on this one is pretty narrow, as well, which makes it easy to hook a tail light over it without worrying about it falling off. Seems more elegant than having a mount attached to the seatpost or frame. Never had an issue with the bag coming loose or any Velcro rubbing. And I'm sure that everything I just wrote applies to a couple dozen other bags, as well.
Phone, wallet, food, warmers, and a hand pump live in my jersey pockets.

I bought a Nishiki wedge at Dick's for like $15. They come in small, medium and large. The medium holds two spare tubes, tire levers, and CO2 cartridges and a head. I carry a mini-pump in a jersey pocket.
Hey, 22 posts and no one yet has told you how Fred a seat bag is.
Here's my thinking---once that stuff is in your bag, it's always there. Stuff that you carry in a jersey pocket----well, as you get older, and more forgetful, sometimes it's not there when you need it. Good old Murphy has a way of coming through with his stupid Law, you know.

Well you are violating Rule #31 but so am I and most others, and I really don't care what the "Rules" say. I use this bag I got from Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o06_s00_i01 It is an Avenir under seat wedge that will expand a bit. I carry a tube, patch kit, CO2 inflator and tyre levers in it. Phone and wallet are in jersey pockets. YMMV
