Mark your calendars - 3rd Annual BFNIC Double or Nothing - May 29th, 2010

Happy 2010, everyone. Because dance cards are filling up for the coming year, make sure to mark down that most important of events:

The 3rd Annual BFNIC Double or Nothing ride up in Cross Plains.

Saturday May 29th.

No entry fee, no hidden agendas, no officials checking handlebar ends, no whining. Just good riding, good company, and good coffee at the end.

And while the ride will have its usual metric century length, there just maybe might be an additional loop thrown in for those who want to make a real deal hundred miler.

Book it, people.

2.5 hours is very much worth it. It makes for a long day, but well worth the effort. Here's the 2007 ride report thread that has more pics: link.

Alright! It'll be good to see you guys.

And, Dave, I have no guarantees for the weather. Hope for the best, dress for the worst. Though I'm pretty sure it won't be snowing. Maybe.

Lots of drama over the past year, but I am back with the wife and we moved to Harvard on 10.5 acres. I got myself a couple of horses and enjoy being in the country.

Okay, I just kind of skimmed this thread, but let me be sure I have the details right ...

-it will be sunny and 75
-there will be low humidity
-there will be tailwinds throughout
-the route will be newly paved May 28th
-it will be flat-as-a-pancake
-or downhill
-at all times
-and unlimited free beer at the end

Okay then, I guess I'm in

You should be in on this one. It's challenging, but it's also set up that there are many chances to cut the route short if your legs aren't feeling up to 62 miles.

Think on it.

Smokin,
I think I am in too and this time I'll try not to ride away (we'll keep the ladies together), at least until I decide whether to make a shorter loop (given that I ride to the start - 20 miles round trip). Bringing your friend?

I also hope to be sporting a new bike built by Psimet (no pressure or anything there...).

You've done RAIN. This is just like RAIN, except there is a lot of nice scenery, no registration hassle, you get to go down a bunch of hills at 45+ mph, there's a great bike/coffee shop to chill out afterwards, and you'll be home in time for dinner.

I'll put you down as "attending."
