Domane
I know the rating is 275lbs, but has anyone ridden the domane SL at 300-320lbs?
Understand the wheels give out before the frame. I currently ride an alloy Focus Mares (264lbs rated) and the stock 32H wheels were fine.
I want to step up to Carbon endurance and the Domane is one of my picks, but im concerned about excessive flex from the isospeed decoupler.
Would love to hear from people with first hand experience.

About 6 months ago I bought a Trek Checkpoint ALR 5. It was either the Checkpoint or the Domane. I'm 240 and had some concerns about a weight limit too.
The sailsperson didnt give me a weight limit but said the frame and component group, 105, would have no problems at all without skipping a beat.
I have had no problems and I ride the hell out of it all the time. Hope that helps..

I have the Domane AL2 and I believe its rated for 275 pounds as well. I think you'd be fine on it, although I can't comment specifically on the isospeed decoupler.

In general the frame is not the weak point.....I have two bikes that are rated under my current weight one alum, one carbon. Neither have exploded or anything. The wheels are a completely different issue but the frame don't put much fret into. Take Cannondale for example, their high end road bikes frame "rating" is under 300 easy, BUT they test them at 1500lbs of pressure weight....tell me how I am going to hurt my Cannondale at 290?!
