Has mountain biking taught you anything about life?
This is for a school report. I wanted to resaerch mount biking, but I had to ask a "deeper question" than how do mountain bikes work, which is fairly simple. I would like some help.

Mountain biking has taught me that if you hit a tree it really hurts.

oh also, self satisfaction. For example if madbiker tries a trick over and over again yet keeps hitting this tree, when he finally sticks it, he will be self satisfied. Many bikers meet some of their best friends through riding and forums like this. If I can think of any others I will let you know. When is the paper due?

No I am in good shape. Probably better than you. I have ridden bike for my whole life. I like cross country mountain biking, with a little bit of down hill mountain biking. I live in a good place for that, tha Black Hills of South Dakota.(MT rushmore)

Um, whenever I go mountain biking, if I don't know where I am and I come to a trail head, I always force myself to take whichever one is more likely to get me lost or the one that looks shadier. E.g. I see home made trail or sketchy trails you bet I'm going to go on it even if I can't handle it really.
Basically, when I bike I always try to live a little bit

mountain biking has taught me that there is a life beyond my old boring houselife, just recently i have been giving the freedom to rome miles on my mountain bike rather than up and down my street, mountain biking gives me a sense of freedom which is why i like it so much, it has also taught me that brakes should be factory tested to make sure they are not to touchy when brand new (put 2 and 2 together.....faceplant for the slow ones )

Cycling has taught me to relax and enjoy the smaller things. The simplest things (birds, nice flowing trails, sunny days) seem so much better when seen by bike.

Riding is life and everything else is just a shadow thereof.
- Go hard
- Hang on but not too tight
- No hill up or down is too steep or dangerous if you look at it from the right point of view
- When you crash it bleeds and it hurts and sometimes your ride is broken but time (and sometimes money heals all) so never, ever fail to get right back on (unless of course things are too mangled and then see the above statement)
- "Hey, Watch this!!" is akin to Pride and "Pride cometh before the fall"
- Coffee and cookies can sustain life

Lets put it this way, RIDING IS MY LIFE. I have learnt that you just have to go all out, no half arsed attempts. When you are not giving 100% thant's when you go to hospital. I have learnt ankle injuries are very very crap. It has taught me the satidfaction of nailing something for the first time, it has taught me to look at what I do more closely, things take a long time to get done right. Be patient, admire the things around you, and faster is not always better. Oh and jumping over cars rules
