First bike, Is this older Specialized Sirrus worth purchasing?
Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase my first road bike used to commute to class and work daily. I'm 5'3" with an a 29" inside leg inseam and this bike has a 45cm frame. Is this older specialized sirrus worth looking at and my size? Thanks in advance for any information or advice! Add described below:
"$200
45 cm Specialized Sirrus 14-speed road bike
Double butted chro-mo frame
Shimano 105 group set: shifters, derailleurs, cranks, brakes, hubs
700c Mavic wheelset
700x23 Vittoria tires
Salsa stem
Platform pedals
Mavic made in France drop bars
New bar tape
Bike is ready to ride"

It looks like a nice little bike. Within the ballpark of the value. And, probably a good size. Have you seen the bike? Ridden it yet?
For any bike that is 20+ years old, I'd prefer to spend some time regreasing everything, and tuning the bike. It also gives on an opportunity to get to know the ins and outs of the bike.
