Where to mount magicshine battery?
I just bought a magicshine since it's starting to get dark earlier. Man, this thing's bright.. the problem i'm having now is there's nowhere to mount the battery on my roadie. My friend mounts his under the stem, but the velcro doesn't reach around far enough to clasp on mine. (fat stem i guess) I have cross brake levers, so I can't mount it on the bar. My top tube has exposed cables, so can't mount it there.. I can't really think of anywhere else..
where do you guys put yours?

Stem, and top tube, depending on the bike. It's okay to wrap the strap around the cable housing. If necessary, you can slip it under exposed cable.

If you ran with panniers, an extension cable would allow you to put it back there. Alternatively, why not just get some longer velcro straps?

threadless steerer? Paul's Comp. has a alternate stem cap made to use handlebar lights upon it.

If the velcro is too short why not just use an old toe strap? Thats what I did on my commuter.

I mount mine in the water bottle as well. My Vaya has three bottle racks.

Thanks dudes. I figured out a way to put the velcro strap through the battery loops to make it long enough to fit around my stem. It's not the way it's designed to attach, but it works.
I like the bottle idea, but I drink a lot of water when I ride, so that wouldn't really work for me..
