Fender installs for 650b conversions
Hi!
I'm in the middle of converting a vintage french bike to 650b size. It just lacks the fenders. Would love to see how other people have solved how to mount the fenders to the crown and to the chanstay bridges. There must be quite a few on the forum.

Show some pictures of the frame so we can see what it offers for attachment points and give an idea for widths. Also, are you thinking made-up fenders like ESGE or Portland Design or aluminum like Honjo or Takagi?

Well, if you have fenders in that size it depends on the bike and how they are mounted. Other than that it helps to have them in the right size, these manufacturers all make 650B fenders:

This pic is not about attachment but to show that 700c longboards will work on 650b.

VO sells fenders for 700 or 650B, and their stays are long enough for either, just trim to size once installed.

This is a bit of an outlier, but I'll put this out there as the "all-in" solution.
Before the bike was powder-coated, gugie brazed on new mounting points for the fenders, including a custom rear bridge and a threaded fender mount on the bottom of a custom rack. From there I used the Velo Orange hardware and leather washers.
