Hello from SoCal
Fairly new to this message board. I have been cycling for decades. I'm a 61 year old Clydesdale class cyclist. Over the years I have cycle toured the coast of California, Washington and the San Juan Islands and have participated in many century and double century events.Depending on other events going on I ride 100-150 miles a week. My current weekly ride is a Specialized Roubaix. First entry into CF frames and I'm enjoying it. Prior to this it was a Fuji Royale! That's right a heavy steel frame, friction shifting tank of a bike. I had Weinheimer concave rims and a Avocet seat. These were the only upgrades on the bike. I purchased it in 1980 and put who knows how many miles on that bike. Somewhere between my Roubaix and Royale I purchased two Giant Excursions so my wife and I could try cycle touring. Later picked up a Trek T100 tandem and outfitted it with racks and cycle toured with it. I still have all these bikes except for the Fuji Royale. My wife no longer rides so I'm considering selling the Excursions and T100.
