Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This season, we are paying $20/mo. for temporally and spatially detailed, human-generated, wind forecasts. Definitely more accurate for 24 hrs. After that, no better than free.

There is a 9-36 .. not that far off from what you want.

I’m aware that it exists, yes. However, I do NOT need (or want) the 9t, which makes it uselessly wide (as I said). That 9t is wasted, like the other 9t or the 44 in the 10-44. It might as well be 12-speed.

Cold morning (59*). Wool socks, toe covers, winter gloves, and everything fogged over as the sun came out and it warmed a bit.

On one of the side roads where I ride there are abut 6 apple trees in an enclosure with at least a 6' fence. The owner piles the drops outside the fence. Lots of deer in that area.

Well, lots of deer for California, where we have a much lower carrying capacity than most states Back East because of months of no rain.

That seems like overkill. A sharper knife might help, though.

Did two heads of cabbage. A one-gallon jar is mostly full of kraut. Oh yes.
