Kennet and Avon cycling
I am looking to cycle from Reading to Bristol following the canal route through out. I read in a blog that route between Hungerford and Devize is not great. So my question is is TREK 520 ok to ride this canal route till Bristol? I will be camping along the way , so I will be a bit loaded ( may be 6 to 10 kgs)

Not the best in the world. Very narrow at points almost like singletrack. Always a lot of dog walkers and parts with big pot holes. If it's this time of year and its been raining a while you'll get very muddy and wet feet as the holes are tough to avoid. Make sure everything on your bike is screwed tight. It's bumpier than fire road in places and the wet gravel / stones can be slippery.

I would strongly recommend heading over to the Brit forum, ctc forum, as I'm sure you will get a more knowledgeable response (if you haven't already).

Also, there is a good page of info at the CTC: https://www.sustrans.org.uk/find-a-r...nd-avon-canal/
