Thoughts on used Norco (2010) XFR Three
Hi there,
I am looking to purchase a bike for my mother who is 5'7". It will be her first bike in years, and so I am wary of getting too aggressive a frame, a hybrid with or without shocks would help her get into riding the best imo.
I am going to use this thread to post a few different used vancouver bikes that I am considering; if you have an opinion on the bike in question, It'd be very helpful to me.
Here is the first one:
Norco XFR three, 18".

Norco Bicycles --original specs

I cannot find any comparable women's frame for this model of bike, so I am presuming that both men and women would ride such a frame. That being said, what would be your sizing suggestion for a 5'7" women on a men's hybrid frame? 17"? 16"?

A bike that fits well is important, you should go to a bike shop with your mom and find out what kind of frame she's comfortable on. There are more factors involved than just height, such as inseam length.

I agree with Grey. Not knowing jack about your mom I'd say she'd be better off on a comfort mountain bike or something like the Townie in general. You should probably avoid unicycles.
