I got a new helmet and pedals the last couple of days. The helmet is white for summer riding and the pedals are some Race Face Chester pedals for winter riding.

I’ve gone a bit mad lately.

M8000 XT group set for the MTB on the ChainReaction Sale
XT pedals to replace the 18 year old M515s on the Perfomane Bike sale
Trainwr tyre, since I’m spitting rubber chunks off the Giant ones and needed free shipping from Performance
Shwalbe Pro One tubeless and tape for the Racing 5 DB wheels, again in the CRC sale

Got the girl heated grips grips for her Hyperstrada too. If anyone does the motorbike thing ...

there will ve no Xmas. No Spring. It is all Black Friday

Nice, I got the M8000 road bike group early this year and was very happy with that purchase. The front derailleur was quite a bit different to setup, but it works like a dream.

Yesterday I just received a pair of SUGOI shorts, they look nice, just waiting to get them on a ride.

Bought a nice old lugged Trek 950 frame made of double butted, oversized True Temper Cro-Moly to build into a 26" tourer with full Deore from a local bike flipper. And I didn't have to stand in a line a quarter mile long, like I did at my local box store. Super duper deal!

Well I will risk putting on my black Friday purchase at the risk of getting "online abused". I have always known the ceramic speed stuff was of course a very pro item and never needed for a recreational rider like me but I did get a set of the jockey wheels for my road bike for under $200. I had a 50$ gift card to use and they were marked down 35% so my cost was $150 after the discount and gift card. I probably should have gotten a bunch of wear items like chains or tires but impulse got the best of me when they were $200.

My curiosity has always wanted to try something from them even though I will never notice a performance difference. Maybe they will be quitter than the stock ones that are super noisy for some reason.

OK...beat me up now....

I have the Ultegra 8000 on the roadbike. Super bit of kit, isn’t it?

No Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but I did pick up a couple of gifts for cycling mates and pair of "waterproof" socks for myself from aerotechdesigns on-line sale last week. This time of year I find it very difficult to be unselfish. Just about everything is on sale at the lowest prices making it really hard to practice self restraint.
