Thule Rapid Aero Bars = Frustration

So, I am frustrated. I just spent $400 on a set of aero feet and aero load bars for my car. These stupid Aero load bars dont fit anything, and you have to use some special adapter kit with literally everythign Thule sells. TO make it all worse, I have two bike carriers, model 525s.. and they dont make a adapter kit for them. SO I am stuck making something myself if I dont want to spend $250 on new carriers.

My reccommendation... buy square load bars.

The good news is, the feet and bars look really nice. I will post pics once I take some. Its been raining all day here in STL.

Andy.

Are you sure they don't sell an adapter for that? Just email Thule and ask them. I had to do the same for my VW carrier bars, since they aren't listed on Thule's website, but they are the same as the aero bars, since Thule makes them.

Nice STi! I spent a month or two debating between the 2005 WRX sedan and wagon. Utimately I chose the wagon because with the factory crossbars and a couple of rockymounts trays the setup looks a lot cleaner than anything I could've rigged up with thule or yakima stuff on the sedan. Your rig looks good though!
