Does Portland have a bike co-op similar to NYC's Times-Up!?
Hello all! Spending another month in Portland and bought a Kilo TT to ride around. Looking to make the move out here as soon as I find a job. Since I don't have any tools with me and don't want to invest in another set, I was wondering if the Portland area had anything similar to NYC's Times-Up! co-op. Basically a place to go where you can use their tools for free to work on your bike, and they usually have a few expert mechanics on hand to walk you through things if you aren't sure.

Thanks!

Portland does have something similar but there is a charge to use the facility.

Hey thanks guys! Plotted them on a public Google Map, also discovered the https://bikefarm.org/ while plotting them. Wish I knew about these ahead of time, made some purchases at Performance last week.

Bike Central for the westside. Allen wrench and tire irons readily available. Red (forget his actual name, been a few years since I've been that far south for bike parts) kinda begrudgingly lends other tools. An experienced track racer is typically there as well, if you need any help with that.

North Portland bikeworks on N Missisippi has open shop nites. Also, if you live in North, Northeast and now Southeast, there are community tool libraries that usually have bike tools and stands to borrow, for free.
https://www.northportlandtoollibrary.org/
https://www.septl.org/tools.php
the northeast library does not list bike tools on their inventory, but I would check and see if they do.. https://www.neptl.org/
I remember Times Up for great advocacy for cyclist rights. They rock. But Portland has great advocacy, shaped for whats here on the ground in Portland.. the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, Shifttobikes.org, Bikeportland.org for a lot of community. theres more, but thats where I would start.
