Yeah, I was thinking about asking if he'd ship this also. So I went to his profile, looked around, and decided it wasn't someone I wanted to try and work with. I could have been wrong but it sounds like not, this time.

I think it's a 1992, the last year they were lugged.

I wish this was close to me. It's probably too big but a early '90s lugged hybrid with top notch Suntour for $160? That's seems like a crazy deal.

As badly as I wanted this in hindsight I am happy that I didnt comply with his demands. I offered to email him my cell# so we could talk and he refused that and just kept demanding I post my address and phone # on FB. Absolutely no reason for that other than to be extremely difficult or a scammer - something didnt smell right!!!

I'd say it's a solid deal.... looks original where in matters. It's gotta be for 6' and above, right?

Anyway, here in San Diego there are incredible deals all over. I could seriously buy a bike every day if not for my legendary willpower lol.

Btw, here's my 1990 Trek 750. I got it in 2022 for $80 and it didn't need much. It was missing the headbadge tho!

Excelle tubing is far more exotic than 853, and very good tubing IMO!
If this fits and such a GT is up your alley you can't beat it for $200!

Very good condition… lots of custom work done. Everything in working order… no marks or blemishes on the frame… early 1970s… was on display for the past 30 years.
I've never seen a black first-generation Raleigh Professional before. I bought one used in about 1972, but mine was white, as with all the ones I've seen over the years. The black Raleigh pro shown in the pictures does appear to have the correct stay arrangement and the fully sloping Cinelli fork crown. (I read somewhere that it was designed by Cino Cinelli for the use of the Raleigh team in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.) Gorgeous bike.

Editing to add: that bike is an insane value, or would be if we weren't in Bizarro World C&V bike pricing times.

It's a repaint- one of the images shows a Cycle Art San Marcos, CA decal on a chain-stay. No chrome, no lug-lining. Looks like there might be a little metal flake in the paint, too.

I usually don't post re-paints, unless it is done by someone like Joe Bell, Cycle Arts, Hot Tubes and a small number of others. This one is well done, and seems to be a tremendous bargain. .

What is it with all the Vent Noir's popping up lately. I'd actually be upset if any of them fit me but wow. I went from never seeing one for sale or barely even on the internet and now two or three in the last week or two for sale? That's crazy. That is one of my Grail bikes in the matte black. I don't care much for the smoked Chrome ones.,,,,BD

I doubt that's a Mk. I. The Victor seat cluster came in with the Mk. II.

I was unsure about that aspect. Couldn't remember what mine looked like, but I knew that later ones had it.
