Anyone hear from Velocals lately?
I've emailed them a few times, and never get a response. I've had emails to them from like five years ago, and nothing. Anyone else have any luck?

But if you order from them, you'll have your decals in a week or two, pretty much guaranteed.

If you're looking for something they don't offer, like decals from a make or model not shown on their website, I recommend contacting Cyclomondo.
They (he) might be in a better logistical position to create something new from scratch.

Also, looking for someone inside the continental USA. Not only am I patriotic but I just can't see ordering something like a rim decal from a place half way across the world lol. The postage costs more than the decal.

for existing decals Greg at Cyclomondo is world class.
Postage would be nominal because it is a flat package. They are set out at https://cyclomondo.net/page2.htm
so $3 is suggested.

Even that is no guarantee of an answer to a question. I placed an order a while ago and asked if they could make a change relative to the decal pictured. Their answer was to ship the decal with the customization I requested.

I ordered a set of decals for the Ochsner bike I am rebuilding. They already had them in stock from a re-issuing. Exact same decals as the originals. It took no more than 2 weeks for them to arrive. I have never tried to contact them in any other way.

Q: How can I best contact you?
A: Email is the best method for contacting us. info@velocals.com
Q: What if I don't see the decal I need?
A: We are now accepting custom orders, however there will be a cost for developing the artwork. To keep that cost to a minimum, you may submit your own artwork as in .eps or .ai format. Artwork should be in vector form, with text converted to outline and colors selected from the Velocals color chart.
Q: I called/emailed you but haven’t received a call/email back. When will I hear from you?
A: We are not able to respond right away to every email or phone call. Contact regarding the status of an order are our highest priority. Contact to request decals not listed on our website may or may not receive a response. However, we do keep a log of such requests for future reference.

I sent them TWO emails with requested changes to my original order, and never heard back.
Two weeks later the decals arrived, with the changes I requested.
So to answer the OP, yes email contact with them is sketchy.
However, I plan to order much more from them. Top notch product, dead-center accuracy, fair prices, fast turnaround.

$3 postage sounds about right for what I paid.

One question would be his materials; the site states Premium cast 2 mil, premium cast 1 mil, water slide, glossy uv laminate, low gloss uv laminate, matte uv laminate; whats the difference in these materials? What thickness is the OEM's decals? Do you have 2 mil gloss? The laminates state their shine factor but the "premium casts" do not. Are they glossy, low gloss or matte? The Mavic decals; he's missing the Speciale Sport decals; odd. Did he ever make them before? Any stock that he forgot to include on the internet laying around by chance? If not, do you have graphics in hand for them? What's a zero margin decal?

The cast vinyl does not specify gloss as they are for use under clear coat and the clear coat determines the final gloss. The UV resistant decals specify gloss level as they are intended for surface application without an over spray of clear coat. A zero margin decal has no outer edge of clear vinyl, it is cut right at the edge of the coloured area of the decal. I did a resto of a Bertin C 37 with Velocals several years ago and the decal quality was outstanding. They also responded readily by email regarding mixing of items from two different decal sets. Experiences seem to vary.

The thickness of OEM decals varied quite a bit from company to company, as many used water-slide decals and others used adhesive-backed.
I really like the 1-mil UV-resistant decals offered by Velocals and Cyclomondo. They're the perfect compromise between decals that are thin enough to look good, but not so thin that they're difficult to apply.
I personally don't like the look of decals that have had clearcoat applied over them. To each their own.

I am on their site ordering a Trek ST decal for a bike just like this one. Somebody please help me out. I'm thinking the main color is Navy Blue. But the strip accent color has 4 options for yellow, Lemon, Vegas Gold, Yellow or Sunflower. Which one is it? What say Ye?
Thanks in advance.
