Sun EZ Rider seat angle- any ideas?
The Sun EzRider that I have (the AX model) has a seat base angle too shallow. I have to have slightly less angle in my legs due to being large around the middle, so if I adjusted the distance from the pedals the way most sites suggest I have trouble getting my other foot on the pedal after I start moving. My issue is that I still slide forward in the seat as I ride. Has anyone found a way to adjust the seatpan angle? This model is just 4 bolts on the bottom to hold the seat- no actual angle adjustment. Ive adjusted the seat depth, backrest, and distance from pedal, but if I could get the front to nose up about 1/2 an inch I think id be golden.

Can you fabricate some angled bushings to go between the frame and seat, to hold the seat at an angle? Sort of a variation of the shim idea.

It looks like the seat mounts to square tubing like the other EZ recumbents from Sun. There is some up & down play at the front of the clamp mount. You can get a shim in there and raise the front of the seat. You can get about 1/4" from between the seat mount bracket and the seat
tube. If you need more, you can get it between the seat base and the bracket. Have a look, and good luck. bk
