Glenwood Barn Find
My bike scout found an old skip tooth bike in a barn and sent me pics. The bike is intact. Could this possibly be something from the clubman/path racer era? Obviously missing the drop bars as such, Has anyone heard of Glenwood?

Those appear to be 28" wooden rims, which would make it from the 20's, possibly the teens.
I wonder what's in the pouch?

Is that a fixed-gear? I don't see a coaster brake arm down there.

Very cool!
The only thing I could find was this list:
Bicycle Brands - The Wheelmen
Glenwood is listed as distributed by Charles J. Godfrey, if I'm reading the chart right. Active 1898.
Who knows if it's the same as your barn find.

Very likely I will (by blessing and grace of a great friend) have this by the fall months for a winter project. This one is a keeper and completely off my radar for acquisitions. Pray for my patience

I just could not resist poking at you a little, but I do hope that He doesn't reward you with a flat plague.

So my wife and a very special friend arranged to have this bike under the tree for me tonight. I am still in a state of shock. I had all but written off the thought of getting this bike.
Fully intact, true barn find, 1898 Glenwood.

Tire pump
pouch is in excellent condition
My guess is someone was serious enough to be equipped with patch repair in the event of being far from home.

Close up pics of the rims? Do they still look to be rideable?
I've never seen wooden rims in real life!
It would be a pretty fun carpentry project to build wooden rims!
