1992 Bridgestone XO-2 fit

hi all.

I have a line on a well-maintained 1992 XO-2. As far as I can gather from the photos and the seller, who clearly only has an inkling what he's got there, its a 52cm frame. I'm 5'6'' but have a 30'' inseam. I think I'd prefer a 48cm frame, but I can fit a 52. Seller -- who is not local to me, clearly -- says it's a 31-inch standover, specs say the '92 is a 759mm, or a hair shy of 30 inches.

I don't want to let this go, necessarily, because it's a pretty good deal on a helluva nice bike. But I also don't want a bike that ends up to be too big, either. I know there are lots of Very Big Brains here. Does anyone have advice?

Thanks in advance.

Keith.

If it is a pretty good deal as you say, you can always move it on later if the bike ends up being too big, without losing too much or any $.

I'm 5'7" and I ride a 52 usually. I'd imagine someone 1" shorter than me would fit on any of my bikes. Standover is another thing I guess.

I'd say try it out and if it doesn't work, sell.

I'm with TenGrainBrain on this. If the price is right, buy it and try it. These are easy bikes to sell if it doesn't work out.

I love my '93 XO 2

Thanks, guys. I pulled the trigger on this. If it's too big, I can sell it without much of a problem, like you said.

Thanks a lot!

Keith,.
