Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bringing the thread back from the dead...

Nashbar has this for cheap right now when you use their 20% off coupon.
I got it for $360 before tax and shipping.

I was considering this bike but I think I want something lighter and more agile. The Fuji guy scared me away from it

Jut Bought one for $199 USD

Have seen these on Bikes Direct, they currently have 47 and 49cm for $399 USD. Got mine from bike island, "scuffs on dropouts" for $199 in 47cm. It may be in perfect shape, they last single speed I got from them was listed as "scuffs on dropouts" but was in perfect shape. Gonna put Campy brakes, Cane Creek road levers, modern road bike bars and a real seat on it, lower the gearing as I'm older and spin rather than push these days. It's worth the price just to cannibalize for parts!

Damn zombied twice. It is generally good practice to not revive threads that are old as the people who were part of them have long since forgotten whatever the heck they were talking about and may not even post here anymore. If it is super relevant and people need to know check newer threads for something relevant and if not create a new thread if needed.

Enjoy the bike though!
