Trying to identify Campy FDs
I have a rear Nouvo Record - it came with a Campagnolo front derailleur on my bike that I assumed was a Nouvo Record as well but I have a spare and when I google images of the spare I came to believe that the spare was actually a Nouvo Record so I am now I am confused which is correct and want to keep like with like.
Photo a) is the RD
Photo b) is the FD that I had with the RD
Photo c) is the FD that I had spare.
Can anyone advise FD which is a Nouvo Record (or are they just two different version
I believed this to be a Nouvo Record
Possible Nouvo Record???
s????

As this is not an Appraisal thread, where someone is asking the value of a bike or component, we are moving this thread to regular C&V.

The cage looks like a second generation super record cage (first gen got 4 holes, I think).
However, super record also got various black bits.
Is it possible that you have a Nuovo Record derailleur from the mid 80's?
I'm sure someone else will have a more definitive answer.

Picture "B" is a pre-CSPC Record front derailleur. Picture "C" is a post-CSPC Record front derailleur.

Apparently there are two versions of 3-hole NR derailleurs (which followed the ones without holes and with 4 holes).
VeloBase.com - Component: Campagnolo Record 1052/NT (1978 - 1982, 3-hole narrow band)
VeloBase.com - Component: Campagnolo Nuovo Record 0104007 (1982 - 1987, 3-hole standard band)
Yours is the second of the 3-hole derailleurs, from 82 to 85 based on the diamond shaped front of the clamp band.

FWIW, strictly speaking there was never a "Nuovo" Record front derailleur (or brakes or cranks or hubs, for that matter.) It was always simply the Record (#1052/1) or the Super Record (the only difference being the color of the arms.) This naming convention was true throughout the entire run and all its iterations. The Nuovo Record rear derailleur was so called because it was preceded by the bronze and steel Record derailleur, but there were so many significant changes in the aluminum version that it was named "Nuovo." While there were many subtle changes to the Record front derailleur through the years, they were apparently not enough to warrant a "Nuovo" version.

of course 144 Strada cranks (without chainrings) get lots of labels on the used msrket.

Almost two years ago we delved into Campy NR front derailleurs in this thread and eventually found there were at least 7 versions. Interesting stuff.
OP, what's the date on the gear?

The bronze/steel Record was introduced in 1963 but was absent from the 1967 catalog, so it probably was out of production by then. But I assume they remained available until old stock was sold or scrapped.

Thanks all for the input. Just a little punch drunk as left home, drove 5 hours visited family and then drove back.
Clubman (and any interested others) date stamp on RD appears to be a 78. Does anyone know where to look for a date on an FD or were they not date stamped?
CB400bill - sorry I forgot to ask for a value, was planning on listing these here along with some other parts and a full bike over next week just want to get them in order and cleaned before listing.
