Video-NW Lancaster (PA) County River Trail

For anyone who might be interested I just posted a video of my go-to weekend ride on the beautiful NW Lancaster County River Trail, a 26-mile-long ride along the Susquehanna River. It's my first attempt at recording a ride. I used just my Samsung S20 phone on a handlebar mount so forgive the bad angles, jittery motion, and narrow frame size. I rode two days following a very bad localized storm in the Marietta, Pa area so there were multiple downed trees blocking the path and you'll see me climbing over a couple of them. Otherwise, I just edited them out and continued on. I'll be purchasing a GoPro for future rides. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for the tip! Fiance and I are in philly and want to take a day trip somewhere to ride. This could make a great trip to check out another area and get a nice easy ride in!

That looks like a nice place to ride.

The narrow frame size is fixed by recording with the phone turned horizontally. Turn it before pressing record and it will put it in landscape mode, that's how my iPhone works anyway.

I would recommend that if you go on a Saturday or Sunday that you start your ride earlier than later. That way you miss the busiest time when there are a lot of kid and dog walkers, and slower bike riders. There are multiple parking areas along the whole trail but many people like me park under the Rt. 462 bridge in Columbia and begin their ride there. 101-157, PA-441, Columbia, PA 17512

Now I remember seeing that trail when I crossed over the river during my 2020 tour from Pittsburgh to Philly. The night before I camped at a place along the Heritage Trail a couple of miles south of York.

I have ridden that trail a few times, it is a real nice ride, I also like the Rail trail a bit further south.
I have also ridden over from Lancaster city and north up the trail and back into the city thru E town.
Have you ridden the Lebanon-E town trail.
