Stem options for 1 1/4 steerer?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Stem options for 1 1/4 steerer?

I have a giant tcx I've been using as a groad bike and want to get a couple of stems to play with fit a bit but my existing stem collection is for 1 1/8 steerers. Do I have any options other than the giant stems?

Some of this is for fit testing so I'd rather not spring for something fancy.

You can do some trigonometry or use this tool: Stem Comparison Tool | yojimg.net

Hopefully doing so reduces the number of stems you have to buy.

Kalloy Uno might come in 1-1/4, but otherwise the Giant OD2 alloy ones are about as low end as you can source.

Last year I built up a Giant TCX from parts. I almost abandoned the project due to the (stupid) 1 1/4" stem. Don't ask about the seatpost.

Anyway, I have 3 Giant dealers in my metro area, and none could sell me a stem. One shop did have the 1 1/4" spacers. So despite having 10 pounds of good 1 1/8" stems in a bin, I resorted to Fleabay and paid $100 for a basic used Giant-branded alu stem for which I should have paid $10. The internal cable routing: again, don't ask.

These adjustable stems are 1 1/4” if you remove the inner sleeve (making it no longer adjustable”. Not sure if they’re still made but they can be found on the bay. I use one on a Santana with 1 1/4” steer tube.

Maybe just go to a fitter and no need to guess.
