anyone use two mirrors?
Hi,
I have one mirror on my bike, but was considering getting another. Wondered if anyone already had a 2 mirror setup similar to a motorbike?

I have seen a lot of trikes with two mirrors. If you are interested in a two mirror system add a mirror to your helmet or glasses like a "Take a Look" mirror so you can sweep your head around and get a better look behind you. With a conventional bike, I can't see much advantage with having a mirror on the opposite handlebar end.

Do you mean like one on the bike and one on the helmet? Or a flat mirror and a convex one? As the other poster said, since bikes are so close to the curb a mirror on the right is of limited value. Motorcycles pass cars frequently, so a right hand mirror is much more useful to them.
In your case it would be the left-hand mirror that was less useful.

I have two mirrors on my handle bars, mostly because they are also turn signal/marker lights.

I use two mirrors on my bike. They are a bar end set made for left and right mounting and provide decent coverage .

-in a rotary
-when coming out of a curve to the right
-when a bright sun is behind you because usually at least one of the mirrors will be out of direct sunlight.
...I see no advantage to turning around on the bike when you can maintain a riding position and still look ahead with a rearview mirror. Some hazards come up so suddenly that I appreciate the milliseconds saved by being in position to react. Especially in my urban environment, I live by Jim's Law of the Road: “No matter how lightly traveled and well paved a road is, a vehicle will likely pass you on the left as you encounter an obstacle on the right.”...

That will probably be the next purchase for me. I have one on my left side, Blackburn, that mounts on the handlebar near the brake lever. And I ride a standard upright bike, not a recum.

Although bikes are usually close to the kurb, I find that I often pass cars / cycles and a mirror is useful for merging back in. Will have to consider if it is really worth it though! Tried a helmet mirror once but didn't get on with it, I still have it knocking about, my retry it!

I have two mirrors on all of my bikes-- a hybrid, a vintage, and a 'bent. Eyeglass mirrors wont fit on my RexSpecs and I like always being able to see behind me when making turns or just gazing at scenery. Plus dual mirrors do make a bike look cool, like a motorcycle. My 'bent has chopper bars and headlamps, people are always asking where's the engine.

My commute heads east in the morning and west in the evening. Sometimes the sun is in a position that makes my eyeglass mirror unuseable, so at that time I use the bar mounted mirror.
I have no interest in putting 2 bar mounted mirrors on a bicycle.

When I was commuting daily I had one on each side but then again I rode on the wrong side of the road a lot...
I am thinking to go with a helmet mount and one mirror on the handlebars I use barend shifters usually so the bar end mirror is not an option..
I also found that I was adjusting the mirrors a lot with the flexible wire then I went to clamp mounts and it was much better.
The helmet or glasses mount is my next purchase...
