Addiction LXXVII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Maybe you can get a partial refund from the school to cover your additional expenses.

Not likely. Maybe a partial refund of her room/board charges, but even that is questionable.

Funnin' around in the park with the Commando. Guess I should get that cockpit sorted before some serious cyclist casts scorn.

What are the students who live on campus going to do? Lock themselves in their dorm rooms?

If not, what's the point?

Feels like a cold is coming on. Had a cough all day and feeling a little achy.

Time for some DXM and some sleep. Hopefully this is gone by the morning.

Or maybe it's COVID-19 and this is goodbye.

Same. Except I don't cough much. And it's been going on more than a week.

I wish I could sun myself in 90F heat.

The vestibule at our hotel yesterday felt like it was over 100F.

Campus housing all closed currently for spring break. Apparently we will be notified when students can return to get their belongings.

I believe this is over-reacting but obviously we are going to comply. My daughter is quite unhappy about it.

If you don’t make it, who gets your bikes?

Asking for a friend.

Interesting news about GCN. Chris Opie is out, returning to racing. New presenter will be Bernie Eisel who has a wealth of experience.

Getting ready to ride. We have reservations this evening at the “it” restaurant in West Chester to celebrate daughter #1’s 20th birthday.

I haven't kept up to date religiously, but I feel like Chris was finally getting comfortable in front of the camera. Or maybe I was finally getting used to him. Oh well.

Matt was the best. Emma was a bad-ass on the bike, but I never saw her get beyond the wooden stage (again, I haven't/hadn't been watching religiously).
