Trans am adventure

In a week I’ll be taking on the TransAm East to west . Is anyone else taking This route ? Looking for more partners To travel with Who may be interested or taking a similar route . I’ll be meeting someone in PA. Starting off slow 40ish miles then 50-80 miles per day . 100% camping . I Also have a burley nomad trailer and an ortlieb rackpack49L for for sale In the sale section if anyone is interested!

Does the TA go through PA?

I suspect lots of people are out there right now. Mid to late May is a popular time to start E-W. I was on part of the TA in MT in mid June of 2014 and camped with nearly a dozen people heading west.

Have fun!

Where in CT and where in PA will you be meeting your friend? I live in Philadelphia and have crossed the state several times. I’ve also ridden home from New England, passing through N. Canaan, CT.

Keep in mind that there will be great pressure on many established camping locations this summer. Just made a Sunday reservation at a NJ state park I’ve been to so often the ranger who runs the office recognizes my name when she sees it on the reservation sheet and even knows my favorite site if I haven’t made a reservation. The place has more than 160 sites. Occupation looked to be around 80%, if not greater. I’ve never seen it that booked at this time of year even on weekends.
