Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cannondale and Little 500

Cannondale's official description of the Capo states that it is "Winner of Indiana's Little 500" (https://www.cannondale.com/bikes/08/cusa/model-8PR1.html). I know there are a few other guys from Bloomington on these boards, so maybe they know something I don't. But from what I understand, the only 3 suppliers of Little 5 bikes have been Roadmaster, Mongoose, and (currently) Schwinn.

I guess my question is, where does Cannondale get off claiming they have won the race (as if it would be a feat to win a race where everyone is riding identical bikes) when they have never supplied the bikes?

Same parent company owns Mongoose, Schwinn, and Cannondale.

Most bike are made in the same factory in China. Line one, Cannondale. Line two, Trek and so on. Very little difference in bikes now a days. The old days there were a lot of company's who made everything in house. That is very rare today.

I ride by their US headquarters everyday... What a shame.

Though when exchanging email with people at Waterford who happen to have the last name 'Schwinn': One is allowed a certain solace and comfort when it comes to brand legacy

Production moved to China in 2009. The '09 models were the last made in the USA. You got a good one.
