Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I believe that is true in my state too. I do think there is a difference between purposefully exposing oneself to shock people and discreetly peeing behind a tree presumably out of sight.

Totally understand, but some will see it as inviting comment. While Addiction feels like a small community most of the time, there are those that lurk, waiting to wag their finger at us. Sad!

But true.

I have some sophomoric jokes my riding buddies and I share during a nature break.

Example: "I heard this is a violation of the penal code, but if charged I am confident the evidence will not stand up in court."

Cowboys could use him, but it sounds like he would not mix with Jerry very well.

I like Jerry. Keeps the Cowboys from being relevant contenders.

Finally got the wife’s bike mounted. Trick was having it low enough where she could actually take it down.

Anybody need some “gently” used cleats?

Oh, that's not even trolling - it's just twiddling thumbs, waiting for an opportunity to tattle.

AH, THAT meme. Yeah, probably best removed. But I did give it a like on FB when I saw it.

The replacement shoes are here. Plus, the price had been discounted another $25 between the time I got the previous pair and these, so more savings..

yes, I agree. there’s no place like home.

This is the problem when you have simple minds trying to deal with the fact that Nature likes to reuse body parts for multiple purposes, often making things both functional and recreational. Many minds can't separate the two. Just ask women with hungry infants in public places.

My 6 year old Sidis are starting to separate the sole from the upper at the heel. I could make an argument for new ones, but instead I think I'll epoxy them back together and save $300-400. I think my Kickr Snap will be my last big bike purchase for a while.

my previous pair was about 11 years old, so I was due a pair. Let’s see how long these would last. My first pair with boa-like enclosure, so I’m interested to see if they provide a bit more adjustability and comfort over the traditional Velcro supplied ones.

A guy I used to ride with got a citation for peeing behind a dumpster at a Wawa around Paoli that did not have a bathroom. The cop told him was lucky that he didn’t charge him with being a sex offender.

Reminds me of the joke about the EE who says, “The body is a obviously a soft computer and God is an EE” and the ME, who says, “Nonsense, God is a ME, for who else could design a skeletal system.” Whereupon, they both look at the CE drinking with them and say, “Nahh, who else but a CE would run a sewer through a recreation area?”

In embryological terms, the urogenital system is an outpouching of the GI tract, so all that stuff clusters at one end and gets confused. However, the size, salience, and sexual importance of non-lactating human female breasts are just side effects of upright posture.
