Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Newly built 90's Corsa-01 with 9sp Record. Initial rides are encouraging. I think this one's a keeper.

Rides very nice. I was a little concerned that the frame is a bit small for me -that is why there is so much post showing and a 135mm stem. But it is very comfortable.

Thanks!

The seatpost isn't my favorite, either, but I don't hate it. So long as I don't need to adjust it

The bike really deserves a Nitto S83, I think. I do need a decent amount of setback and Ø26.8mm which really limits my options.

A lot more steel

Haven't posted since 2019, have a lot more steel since then in the stable and being ridden.

Serotta Nova Special with a NOS Campagnolo 10 speed setup.

1985ish Super that's a bit beat up but a total refurb of all parts has it working wonderfully. Quite a good ride.

Mystery Concorde that just got done. Won't see the roads until spring.

Duell Vienna, wonderfully complaint ride that actually feels a little soft up front. But I've posted my best times on this one in 2020.

One of my grail bikes. Italian made Lemond Maillot Jaune.

And these are "in the hopper". Either being refurbished or waiting to be built

Ochsner, Swiss made Columbus SL tubed with Shimano 600 7 speed right now.

Dave Kirk built bike for the defunct Fishlips bike company. About to be built up with either Campagnolo Record or Dura Ace.

One of the Olmo SanRemo tribute bikes. Also about to be built up with Campagnolo.

70's french made Stella bike. A winter fun project. Bought cheap to just clean up and polish all the shiny bits. Still waiting on parts for the full rebuild.

And a Tange Infinity tubed Softride that showed up for sale locally. Because everyone has to try a softride at least once, LOL!

Here you go; the other side. Actually external cable routing, but with the amount of seat stay between the seat tube and the bridge I had the option to either route over or under the stays. I kind of like the look of the under-stay routing.

Steve Rex Road

Just picked up this one.. Classic Steve Rex frame with Ritchey dropouts, Chris King headset and updated components; Ultegra R8000 hubs, crank, brakes and derailleurs with Dura-Ace levers. Looking forward to tinkering and adding my own touches.
